Wednesday brought confirmation that the UFC is heading to Sweden, and almost immediately after came the announcement that Papy Abedi will fight James Head on the April 14 card.

The UFC will debut in Sweden at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, bringing UFC on Fuel 2 to a new territory.

MMA's premier promotion will undoubtedly fill the card with plenty of Europe's top fighters, with Alexander Gustafsson widely expected to take up a prominent position on the night's line-up.

Gustafsson's compatriot Abedi is already confirmed, with former middleweight James Head providing the opposition. Abedi is looking to bounce back from defeat to Thiago Alves on debut.

Also on the card, England's John Maguire is expected to fight DaMarques Johnson, while Swedish middleweight Magnus Cedenblad will reportedly make his UFC debut against Francis Carmont.
