Michael Bisping has hinted he may have to win another two fights if he is to finally achieve his dream of fighting for a UFC title.

Bisping produced one of the best performances of his career on Saturday against Chael Sonnen, matching the American for the majority of the fight en route to a controversial decision loss. After the fight the Brit confessed he felt he won, and Sonnen even agreed.

The result means Sonnen will get the next shot at middleweight champion Anderson Silva, although the nature of Bisping's loss had many observers wondering if he too had done enough to guarantee himself a title crack in the future.

However, in Bisping's eyes he is going to have to go back to the drawing board, win two fights and then put his case to the UFC once again.

"I'll keep doing it. I'm definitely the number one fighter from England. I'm in my prime and I'm getting better and better all the time," Bisping was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.

"I've given Chael the best fight anyone has. He destroyed Anderson Silva for four-and-a- half rounds. I'm the only one who went out there and fought him.

"I've got a long time yet. I'm getting better and better all the time. I'm one of the top five middleweights in the world. I think I won that fight. I just beat the number two but didn't get the decision.

"Dana White thought I won, Chael thought I won. I will be back. Two more fights and I will be back in this position."
