Nam Phan has stepped up on less than a month's notice to fight Tiequan Zhang at UFC 144.

Zhang had been set to fight Leonard Garcia on February 26, but an undisclosed injury took Garcia out of the equation. Phan has now confirmed he has stepped in.

"Yooooo who wants to see some ASIAN on ASIAN CRIME. Battle for the king of ASIA!!! Round 1 BEGIN!!! Nam Phan vs Tiequan Zhang," Phan tweeted.

Phan's last fight saw him dominated by Jimy Hettes at UFC 141, while Zhang is coming off a loss to Darren Elkins.

The event is headlined by a lightweight title battle between Frankie Edgar and Ben Henderson. Also on the card, Rampage Jackson takes on Ryan Bader.
