Chael Sonnen will have a second shot at Anderson Silva's middleweight title in June, UFC president Dana White has confirmed.

White confirmed that Silva v Sonnen 2 would take place on the champion's home soil in Brazil, with a football stadium in Sao Paolo the most likely venue.

Silva, who has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since his victory over Yushin Okami in August, has repeatedly been called out by Sonnen, who earned the rematch with his victory over Michael Bisping at UFC on Fox2 last month.

"It's not signed but it's verbally agreed to," White said, before confirming the location and timing: "June in Brazil."

Sonnen nearly defeated Silva during their middleweight title bout at UFC 117 in August 2010, dominating Silva for four rounds before submitting in the fifth.
