Fabricio Werdum's Brazilian dream has a minor doubt hanging over it after he was provisionally suspended until August following his win at UFC 143.

Werdum was outstanding as he picked apart Roy Nelson in the heavyweight division, posting a unanimous decision victory. He now wants to fight on the Brazil card in June, but first must get medical clearance.

A right-quadriceps contusion could keep Werdum out until August 3, although the more likely outcome is that he will be allowed back by March 6. A collision with Frank Mir is mooted for the summer.
