Bisping confirms Wolfslair split

UFC middleweight Michael Bisping has confirmed his decision to leave the Wolfslair Academy, indicating he will now take his training in a different direction.

Bisping lost on points to Chael Sonnen in his last encounter inside the Octagon - a narrow defeat that cost him a title shot against reigning division champion Anderson Silva.

The Englishman had won his four previous fights, but has nevertheless decided the time is right for him to end his long association with the Widnes-based gym.

"Yeah, it's true. I left Wolfslair," Bisping said on Twitter. "I've done martial arts since I was eight years old.

"It was a phase of my training there, but I have now moved on."
