Matt Hughes 'definitely' wants one more fight

Matt Hughes has confirmed that he will fight in the UFC again, if he gets his own way.

Hughes toyed with the idea of retirement after being knocked out by Josh Koscheck at UFC 135. The defeat means he has lost his last two fights.

As a former welterweight champion it appears Hughes is in decline as the force he once was, but he is desperate not to quit after a loss. England's Dan Hardy has called out the American for a comeback fight, and Hughes admits only the UFC will stop him having one more scrap.

"Pat Miletich, who's basically a brother of mine, he had a loss on his last fight for a long time, and I was on him, 'Hey, get back in there!'" Hughes told Inside MMA.

"I know. I've sparred with the guy. I've wrestled with the guy. He's a talent. So I was very happy for Pat to get back in there and get his hand raised and walk out.

"I'm under that mentality, so I definitely want to get in there and get my hand raised and then maybe call it quits. But I'm not the only deciding factor here. There's my wife on the other end, there's the UFC ... so, we've just got to come together and figure out what's going on."
