UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has confessed there are about 20 fighters he would rather battle than fellow TUF Heavyweights colleague Matt Mitrione.

Schaub and Mitrione both made their names during the 2009 reality show, during which they were both placed on the same team. Guided by coach Rashad Evans, the pair competed against a team led by Rampage Jackson.

Mitrione was beaten at the quarter-final stages of the show, while Schaub advanced all the way to the final. There he was knocked out by Roy Nelson.

Since then both men have established themselves in the upper echelons of the UFC heavyweight division, and given their background in football, they are seen as an obvious future match-up. However, Schaub would rather avoid his former team-mate.

"Everyone is a potential threat for me. Matt's been doing well, he's a talent and he's a good friend of mine. He's a threat though," Schaub told ESPN, ahead of a May visit to England for The MMA Show Live.

"There's about 20 other guys I'd rather fight other than Matt because we're buddies, but if we have to fight for a belt or for a lot of money - then that's about the only way it would happen."
