St-Pierre recovery 'ahead of schedule'

Georges St-Pierre is on course to return to the Octagon in November at the latest after he revealed his rehabilitation is going faster than expected.
UFC welterweight champion St-Pierre tore his anterior cruciate ligament ahead of a scheduled fight with Nick Diaz, sidelining the Canadian for a predicted 10 months.
St-Pierre has always maintained November would be the month that he would be back to defend his title, and all noises coming out of his camp support that belief. In fact, GSP's latest quotes on the Ultimate Insider suggest that he could return even sooner.
"I feel very good. I'm ahead of schedule," St-Pierre said. "I feel sometimes I want to do a little bit more but even though I feel good my graft is not fused properly, 100 per cent.
"I need to remain calm. The danger with a lot of athletes is to push through the pain and try to go too fast. If I do so, it might loosen up the graft and I might have to start the old process again and I don't want to do that."
