Rampage Jackson to bow out against Shogun Rua

Quinton Rampage Jackson's last fight in the UFC will be against Mauricio Shogun Rua, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
Jackson has been campaigning over the past week for his release from the UFC. The former light-heavyweight champion is convinced he has been under-promoted, claiming the UFC is trying to destroy his fan base.
Rampage currently has one fight left on his deal and he has asked to be released prior to that bout. However, the UFC has other ideas.
The promotion confirmed on Tuesday on Fuel TV that Jackson will fight Shogun Rua, in a much anticipated rematch from their PRIDE days. Back then Shogun broke Rampage's ribs, and Jackson has always wanted revenge.
The bout is yet to be scheduled for a certain date or venue, but it is likely to prove a huge draw despite Jackson's fading reputation after defeat to Ryan Bader.
The UFC also confirmed that the fight would be Jackson's last under the organisation's banner.
