Rampage to have double knee surgery
Rampage Jackson's last UFC fight will not be happening in the immediate future after he revealed he needs surgery on both knees.
Jackson revealed he had an injury prior to his last outing with Ryan Bader at UFC 144. The former light-heavyweight champion lost that fight and is on a two-fight losing streak.
He has since called to be released from his UFC contract, after which it was announced his last bout will be against Mauricio Shogun Rua.
However, that bout is unlikely to happen until late summer at the earliest after Jackson revealed he must undergo minor operation on not one but two knees.
"To keep it real, the Shogun fight will have to wait. I just found out that I have to get surgery on both knees," wrote Rampage. "But I heal fast, don't trip."
