Bisping v Boetsch officially moved to UFC 149

It was confirmed to ESPN on Thursday that Michael Bisping's UFC middleweight showdown with Tim Boetsch has officially been moved from UFC 148 to UFC 149.
Bisping is incredibly close to a title shot at 185lbs, with president Dana White previously admitting the Brit's loss to Chael Sonnen barely registered as a defeat - such was the close nature of the contest. Victory over Boetsch would likely leave the Brit needing, at most, one more win to set up a clash with the champion.
His battle with Boetsch had been scheduled for the July 7 card in Las Vegas, but that has become overcrowded with big fights. Anderson Silva v Chael Sonnen tops the bill, in an event that also features Tito Ortiz v Forrest Griffin, Dominick Cruz v Urijah Faber and Rich Franklin v Cung Le.
Bisping v Boetsch will instead take place two weeks later at UFC 149 on July 21, set to be headlined by Jon Jones v Dan Henderson.
Bisping tweeted: "I'm gonna whoop the caveman's ass all the way back to the rock he crawled out from! Then take the belt from whoever has it. It's been a while since I fought in Canada and the crowd were awesome! Can't wait to fight for you guys again!!!"
