UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta has claimed he is open to the prospect of Georges St-Pierre facing Anderson Silva but Dana White has shot down the prospect of the latter taking on Nick Diaz.

St-Pierre is still on the sidelines, having not fought since April 2011, but is scheduled to face Carlos Condit in November. Should he come through that fight, Fertitta claims he could see a match with Silva being made.

"We are very open to the idea of Anderson-GSP," Fertitta told the Los Angeles Times. "If GSP beats Condit, it's a fight we would like to make."

There has been talk about Silva meeting Diaz, but UFC president White says that is a non-starter.

"I can tell you this, not theoretically - Diaz-Anderson is not going to happen," White told MMA Junkie. "That's just ridiculous.

"Nick Diaz just lost to Condit at 170, so that gives him the opportunity to move up to 185 and fight the pound-for-pound best in the world?"
