Cerrone to fight Jury at UFC 182

A lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Myles Jury has been booked as the co-main event to UFC 182 on January 3 in Las Vegas.
UFC president Dana White confirmed the booking on social media on Wednesday. The pay-per-view event will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Originally, the promotion announced a female bantamweight title fight between Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano would serve as the night's co-main event, but that fight has been shifted to UFC 184 on February 28 in Los Angeles.
Cerrone (25-6) will ride a five-fight win streak into the 155-pound contest. He is on the short list of potential title contenders for the winner of a title bout between Anthony Pettis and Gilber Melendez on December 6.
The 31-year-old is coming off a unanimous decision win against former Bellator MMA champion Eddie Alvarez in September. Cerrone has four finishes during his five-fight streak. ESPN ranks Cerrone the No.4 lightweight in the world.
Jury (15-0) will put his perfect 6-0 UFC record on the line against Cerrone. The 25-year-old is coming off a banner year in 2014, with wins over veterans Diego Sanchez and Takanori Gomi.
A light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier is scheduled to headline the UFC 182 event.
