'I've never lost to a man with earrings' - Sonnen

Chael Sonnen believes the script to UFC 117's main event is so simple that he could beat Anderson Silva any time he wished.
Sonnen will be a clear underdog when takes on the UFC middleweight champion on August 7, with Silva undefeated in 11 UFC fights. However, the Portland Oregon wrestler sees things very differently, and he points to his WEC titles - among many others - as proof of his quality.
The 33-year-old has won 10 of his last 12 fights, and he decided it was time to clarify recent comments when he suggested he did not want a quick knockout, because he planned to hurt Silva for the full 25 minutes.
"I'm the toughest guy in the company period, whether it's Anderson or any other opponent," stated Sonnen. "There's never been a guy with earrings that could out-tough me and he's not going to be the first.
"I'm not of the camp that goes out and says ridiculous things like, 'I'm going to go out and bang', and, 'one of us is going to fall down'. I'm not saying, 'we're going to go out and beat each other up until one guy's not standing'.
"I'm going to be standing. He's going to be flat on his back. And if I've got to stay out there and pound on him for 25 minutes and go home and watch myself on the DVR, that's fine with me.
"You've got to understand; I could drag Anderson Silva outside the hotel and beat him up any time I want. I've made a commitment to wait until August 7th and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure millions of people watch me do it."
