Marquardt bulks up for challenge of Okami

Nate Marquardt weighed in marginally heavier than Yushin Okami as the pair cleared the final hurdle ahead of their UFC 122 main event.

Marquardt tipped the scales at 186lbs on Friday, and he looked the naturally bigger man as he prepares to take on wrestling specialist Okami.

It is widely believed that Okami must use his grappling skills to negate Marquardt's striking on Saturday night, much as Chael Sonnen did in Marquardt's last defeat. The need to stuff the takedown will no doubt see the American attempt to come in as heavy as possible by the time the main event arrives this weekend.

Elsewhere, Andre Winner and Nick Osipczak both successfully made weight ahead of their clashes with Dennis Siver and Duane Ludwig respectively.
