Anderson Silva has left the door open to a future coaching stint on The Ultimate Fighter, after revealing he would be interested in appearing on the hugely popular MMA reality series.

Silva took time out from his preparations for UFC 126 to speak to ESPN, ahead of the defence of his UFC middleweight title against Vitor Belfort. The blockbuster bout is scheduled for February 5 in Las Vegas.

The Brazilian's training partner and compatriot Junior Dos Santos was recently named as one of the coaches for season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter, where he will pit his wits against fellow heavyweight Brock Lesnar.

Silva urged MMA fans to tune into the show, insisting they have only seen a fraction of what Dos Santos has to offer, and he backed his friend to excel in the role of coach, stating: "His team will leave better fighters after training with him and the team."

ESPN then pressed Silva on the chances of seeing The Spider appear as a coach of a future TUF series, and his brief answer was a positive one.

"I love training with other fighters and would be honoured," replied Silva.
