Brian "Bad Boy" Ebersole has been called in to replace Carlos Condit at UFC 127, ESPN can confirm.

Condit had been scheduled to fight Chris Lytle in a heavily anticipated tear-up in the welterweight division, but a knee injury will sideline Condit for at least a month.

The late withdrawal left the UFC with less than a month to find Condit's replacement, but sources have confirmed to ESPN that Sydney-based Ebersole has agreed to step in.

Ebersole is a hugely experienced opponent who has never been knocked out, suffering all of his defeats via submission or by decision. He boasts a well-rounded game founded on Muay Thai, and has won a third of his 44 victories via TKO or KO.

The 30-year-old recently defeated former UFC champion Carlos Newton and had been scheduled to fight at the start of March so he is already deep into his fight camp, ensuring a good test for Lytle come February 27.
