Davis replaces Ortiz in UFC Fight Night shake-up

Tito Ortiz will no longer headline UFC Fight Night 24 after he pulled out of his clash with Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Ortiz revealed that he suffered a concussion in training, in addition to a cut requiring 22 stitches. UFC president Dana White confirmed late on Saturday that the former light-heavyweight champion had pulled out of the bout.
The silver lining is that 26-year-old star-in-the-making Phil Davis steps in to fight Nogueira, defending his undefeated 8-0 record. Davis goes into the bout off the back of a Submission of the Night victory over Tim Boetsch.
Davis had been slated for a UFC 129 encounter with Jason Brilz, but now he will get the chance to bring his high class wrestling game into the Octagon against veteran Nogueira.
In other news, the UFC has officially confirmed that Rampage Jackson will fight Matt Hamill at UFC 130. Thiago Alves v Rick Story will appear on the same card.
