Phil Davis has taunted Antonio Rogerio Nogueira ahead of their UFC Fight Night 24 main event, claiming the Brazilian has no idea what to expect in Seattle.

At 26 years of age Davis is just starting out in his MMA career, currently defending an undefeated 8-0 record. By contrast, 34-year-old Nogueira has been fighting since 2001 and has over 20 fights to draw knowledge from.

Davis sees that as a disadvantage for his light-heavyweight rival though, claiming that a lack of video footage and a raw jiu-jitsu platform (Davis currently owns a blue belt) means Nogueira does not have a clue about what to expect come fight night.

"They say the most dangerous wrestlers are the new guys," said Davis. "It's the same for jiu-jitsu, the most dangerous jiu-jitsu guy is the white belt because he doesn't do what he's supposed to do. You don't know what they're going to do.

"I can look at about 20 of his fights, and really learn about what things he likes to do. Whereas I'm in different situations every time, I'm young, I'm still evolving. I don't have a style yet, and until I have my own go-to moves, I'm changing all the time."

Davis' wrestling offence is fierce and, after difficult outings against Jason Brilz and Ryan Bader, Nogueira appears to have a problem with such fighters. However, the veteran is adamant he knows how to beat Davis come Saturday.

"I know his wrestling's very good, I know his game's very good because he has a combination of wrestling, takedowns, single-leg, double-leg," evaluated Nogueira.

"But I know how to stop him. I have good jiu-jitsu if he puts me down. I have to use my experience to block his game. We'll use boxing, knees, jiu-jitsu, wrestling defence, everything."
