Kampmann in danger of taking eye off the ball

Martin Kampmann must turn his focus to a potentially electric showdown with John Howard, with the nagging thought in his mind that he still wants to rematch Diego Sanchez.
Kampmann v Howard has been confirmed for UFC Live on June 26, which is headlined by Nate Marquardt's welterweight debut against Anthony Johnson. Danish kickboxer Kampmann faces the possibility of losing three on the bounce in Pittsburgh, as does his opponent.
However, the Hitman is still struggling to come to terms with the fact that he is 0-2 in his last two fights, adamant he beat Sanchez in their memorable war at the previous UFC Live event.
The Nightmare has ignored Kampmann's calls for a rematch, preferring to look up the welterweight ladder, but the Dane is not prepared to let Sanchez forget that there is a general consensus that the decision - in Sanchez's favour - was wrong.
"I'm down but Diego doesn't want it and it takes two people to fight," Kampmann told MMA Interviews.
"I beat him the first time in my opinion and a lot of other peoples' opinion so I don't feel [a rematch] should be necessary.
"But since I didn't get the win I would love to beat him up one more time. Because I feel I beat him up the first time so yeah, anytime."
