Georges St-Pierre has admitted he is still suffering from blurred vision, but has been informed he has not suffered any lasting damage to his sight.

Welterweight champion St-Pierre defended his crown with a victory over Jake Shields last week, but it came at a cost as he finished the fight with vision problems after taking a blow to the head.

Future plans have been placed on hold for the Canadian, but he has revealed his vision will return to 100% in the near future.

"My medical condition is called Hyphema," St-Pierre said. "My vision is still blurry and my eye sensitive but the blood in my eye has now been absorbed.

"My retina is fine as well and my vision will come back to 100%"
