Georges St-Pierre will return to training on Monday after he got the all-clear over his left eye.

The UFC welterweight champion could not see out of his eye following his decision victory over Jake Shields at UFC 129. St-Pierre suffered an eye poke and went directly to hospital after the contest.

He was diagnosed with a Hyphema, clearing the champion of any long-term damage to the retina. However, he could not see fully for the next 10 days.

That period of recovery is now over and, little over two weeks since he stepped out of the Octagon, St-Pierre is now ready to prepare for his next title defence.

"My eye is back 100%! Can't wait to start back training," St-Pierre tweeted.
