Mendes set to face Yahya at UFC 133

Chad Mendes will face off against Rani Yahya at UFC 133 in August after being denied the chance to face Jose Aldo.

Aldo has not yet fully recovered from his war against Mark Hominick earlier this year, leaving Mendes searching for a new opponent.

He will now take on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert Yahya (16-6), who defeated former WEC champion Mike Brown in January.

Mendes (10-0) returns to action for the first time since getting the better of Michihiro Omigawa in February - a performance that earned him a shot at the featherweight title held by Aldo.
