Days after doubts emerged whether Williams' in-house KERS would be ready for the start of the season, it is being reported the team will run with it at the Australian Grand Prix.

On Thursday, Rubens Barrichello admitted it might not be ready. "We need to decide quickly what we are going to do," he told f1today.nl. "I hope we do not conclude that we have to race in Melbourne without KERS, but it is possible. It is an uncertain factor for us; one day it gives us no problems and the next day it gives us hundreds of problems."

After more problems on Wednesday ay the Barcelona tests, the team disconnected the system for the remainder of the test. But it appears the glitches have been identified and cured, and so the team will runs with the system at Albert Park in a fortnight.

If so, that will leave only Lotus, Virgin and the yet-to-be-run HRT without it.
