Rubens Barrichello says that he is being "positive" over his future in Formula One, with Williams still undecided on its driver line-up.

Barrichello has been with Williams for the past two seasons, but with the team enduring a disappointing season - having scored only five points in total so far - his future is uncertain. Shareholder Toto Wolff confirmed last week that Kimi Raikkonen and Jules Bianchi were options for 2012, but Barrichello says he is thinking positively as he did when Honda withdrew from the sport at the end of 2008.

"I'm just waiting for people to call," Barrichello told reporters. "The only thing I have in mind is the year that I'm going to have ahead. I'm thinking like I did in 2008, just positive. I might go to the Brazilian GP without any confirmation or without anything, but I'm not saying goodbye to my fans. I want to be there next year. I just have to wait and see. The team have myself very motivated and just waiting for an answer. If God wishes, I will be on the grid for my 20th year."

Barrichello also said that he had held discussions with a number of teams, and that his experience meant he was not worried about his future.

"I talked to all of them, to be honest. There's no point in telling you who I'm talking to. It's just nice situation to be in, to be talking to competitive teams. If I was on my first or second year I would be very worried, but it's been such a long time… Life is too good to be moaning about the problems and why they haven't signed me just yet. I'm just concentrating on the positive, really."

With Williams having confirmed that it has held talks with Raikkonen, Barrichello said he didn't know if the 2007 world champion was serious about a return.

"I don't know. To be honest I never talked to Kimi when he was racing, and he never talked to me! I believe that he had very little talks with the team, by any means."

Raikkonen himself confirmed he had spoken to the team but said he was still undecided on what he would do next season.

"We have been talking with them (Williams)," Raikkonen is quoted by Turun Sanomat. "But I do not have any agreement in any direction. Nothing has changed."

He also said that it would not take him too long to readjust to Formula One if he was to make a return, with the Pirelli tyres highlighted as the most obvious difference.

"It is the thing I have done most of my life. Much more challenging would be to try to do something else ... From what you can see on TV, no (not much has changed). The main difference is the tyres."
