Lewis Hamilton believes he can find some more time within himself during qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Having been second quickest behind Romain Grosjean in FP1, Hamilton was third in the afternoon session as Red Bull set the pace. Asked if he could realistically challenge the Red Bulls for pole position at Yas Marina, Hamilton said the he may have more time in hand but is unsure if it will be enough to get to the front.

"I'll push as much as I can," Hamilton said. "I think I can hopefully add a little bit more time. But naturally this weekend I suspect [Red Bull] will be quickest ... I'm going to give it everything I can, for sure."

With tyre life a big focus of long runs in second practice, Hamilton said he hadn't had any major problems but expects the track to evolve greatly over the rest of the weekend.

"Today I would say I had a little bit more graining on the front tyres, on the option tyre. On the prime tyre it was fine - it was lasting quite long - but when you get out tomorrow and when you get out in the race it will all be different again."
