Dobriskey to run through the pain in Daegu

World 1500m silver medalist Lisa Dobriskey faces a race against time in a bid to be fit for the World Athletics Championships in South Korea.
Runner-up in Berlin two years ago, Dobriskey has revealed she will undergo pain-relieving injections as she bids to upgrade her silver medal to gold in Daegu in three weeks' time.
"There has been a series of big injuries and usually they are related to my bouncy running style and the imbalance in my lower back," Dobriskey told the Times.
"The trouble is my left side gets so loose that my right side does all the work. Now I'm at 90 per cent. With me it's all about feel and I don't feel I'm flowing like I do when it's going well. I'm not quite there."
Beaten by Hannah England at last weekend's UK Championships, Dobriskey has her chance for revenge at Crystal Palace on Sunday. While she admits she is not in perfect shape, Dobriskey is confident she can run through the pain both in London and Daegu.
"Hopefully, the injections will set me up," she said. "I do turn things around quickly and I am in with a shout of a medal at the worlds."
