Khan not convinced he'll beat Mayweather

WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion Amir Khan will only agree to a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jnr when he is 100 per cent convinced he has what it takes to conquer the unbeaten American.
The Brit is expected to have two more bouts - one at light-welterweight and then one in the division above - before facing off against Mayweather at the end of 2012.
In that period he is hoping to smooth off a few rough edges under the tutelage of master trainer Freddie Roach, who has brought about such an improvement in Khan since their link-up in 2008.
Khan gave another dominant performance in his most recent bout, when he took the IBF crown from Zab Judah by stopping him inside six rounds in Las Vegas, but he concedes some tweaks are still needed.
"There are a lot of little improvements that we need to make," Khan told boxingscene.com. "Maybe slowing down a little bit, not making mistakes, and maybe cleaning up the defence and not lunging in with big shots. I'm just going to sit down with Freddie [Roach] and with the tapes and he'll tell me what I did right, and what I did wrong.
"And when the fight comes with Mayweather, hopefully everything will be perfect and I'll have more experience. I'm not saying that I'm not in the same class.
"I want to be 100% ready and 100% confident and I want to walk in to the fight and be 100% sure that I can beat him. Right now it's a 50-50 fight in my mind that I can beat him but I want to be 100% sure."
