Carl Froch and Amir Khan will recover their world titles at the first attempt, according to former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis.

Froch meets Lucian Bute, the IBF king, in Nottingham on May 26 - his first contest since a loss to Andre Ward in December last year, in which he surrendered the WBC crown on a unanimous points decision.

And one week before Froch's battle, Khan will have a rematch with the IBF and WBA champion Lamont Peterson, as they attempt to settle the feud which raged in the wake of Peterson's controversial victory during their first meeting.

"I think we have some great fighters in Britain who will do well this year, and I believe both Amir Khan and Carl Froch will win back their world titles," Lewis told the Daily Express.

Nathan Cleverly and Ricky Burns are Britain's current world champions after Froch and Khan relinquished their crowns.
