Ricky Hatton fumes at Brook's wink

Ricky Hatton has hit out at Kell Brook's "disrespectful" decision to wink at the family of opponent Matthew Hatton during the final few minutes of their fight on Saturday.

Brook outclassed Matthew on his way to a wide unanimous points decision - a performance that showed the unbeaten Brit has the quality to challenge at world-title level.

But while Ricky was impressed with Brook's work in the ring, he was less enthused by what he perceived as showboating.

"Kell was winning the fight by a mile, but in the 11th round he winked at my family," Ricky told the Daily Star. "It was not nice. Jenna [Matthew's partner], myself and the close family saw it and it was in really bad taste. As far as the fight went, the Hatton family would like to wish Kell all the best for the future."

Brook is now expected to move on to a bout against the likes of Victor Ortiz or Andre Berto, while an all-British contest with Amir Khan has also been mooted.
