God urged me to retire - Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao has dropped another retirement hint, claiming that God came to him in a dream and told him to quit boxing.

Pacquiao, who also works as a Congressman in his native Philippines, is thought to be in the autumn of his ring career, and could only have a couple of contests left in the tank.

Trainer Freddie Roach has hinted in the past that Pacquiao has been increasingly distracted during preparations for his most recent bouts - and now, ahead of a June clash with Timothy Bradley, the WBO welterweight champion has once again spoken about walking away from boxing.

"I will not stay long in boxing because He said: 'You have done enough. You have made yourself famous but this is harmful,'" Pacquiao said, according to boxingfutures.com.

Pacquiao, who alongside Floyd Mayweather Jnr is considered the planet's pound-for-pound king, has won 54 of 59 professional contests.
