Brook's Maidana dream fading

Kell Brook's hopes of coaxing Marcos Maidana into the ring for a July clash are receding fast, according to Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn.
Hearn said in March that he felt Maidana - who has a loss to Amir Khan, another on Brook's radar, on his CV - would be a "dream fight" for the unbeaten welterweight.
Brook is looking to prove he can compete at world level in his next fight, having produced an impressive points victory over Matthew Hatton, the former European champion, last time out.
Maidana, the big-hitting Argentinean with 28 KOs in 31 victories, would have offered Brook a serious test - but it seems the bout may have to wait.
Asked on Twitter whether the contest was going to happen, Hearn replied: "In an ideal world yes, doubt July."
Brook will compete in his native Sheffield on July 7; Hearn hopes to announce the opponent before the end of next week.
