Froch predicts Haye v Harrison loser could retire

Carl Froch has summed up the importance of David Haye's clash with Audley Harrison, claiming the loser will have to retire from boxing.
Nottingham-born super middleweight fighter Froch is awaiting Saturday's WBA world heavyweight title fight with intrigue, although he fully expects only one outcome. Having sparred with Haye as a youngster, Froch believes the reigning champion will have too much for southpaw Harrison.
"Who do I think will win? No surprises with my answer to that one. Haye has to be the obvious favourite based on his consistency and I will be in the majority for thinking that," said Froch.
"He unified the cruiserweight division and so far has done the job at heavyweight. But Audley is definitely a live underdog and whatever happens, he always has that big left hand that has got him out of jail on occasions.
"But having sparred Haye myself when we were a bit closer in weight as amateurs, I can testify that he is difficult to nail cleanly. Sure he may have slowed down with the increase in size, but for a heavyweight he still has plenty of speed advantage over all of his rivals."
Froch fights Arthur Abraham in his pursuit of the WBC world title on November 27, by which time he expects one of Britain's heavyweights to have retired.
"If Haye does a complete number on Audley it would ruin him and I think the big man would call it a day," explained Froch. "Likewise if David slips up, which I don't think he will do, it could also be a very big defeat to take."
