Khan 'will' face Bradley, ideally in Britain

Amir Khan has claimed that he will "definitely" fight Timothy Bradley - and he hopes the bout will take place in England later this year.

Bradley now holds two of the three belts in the light-welterweight division after beating Devon Alexander via technical decision on January 29. The bout was cut short in the tenth when a cut over Alexander's eye, which opened up in the third, necessitated a stoppage.

WBA king Khan is desperate to unify the titles by going to war with Bradley - but he must first negotiate his April 16 fight, which is likely to be against Lamont Peterson or John Murray.

"I'd like to get the April 16 fight out the way then definitely I'll fight Timothy Bradley, who is the number one in the division," he told Sky Sports.

"I'm number two and I think that will be a brilliant fight. It will be a lot easier to make. Bradley's with Gary Shaw and I think that fight could be made."

Khan has held his last two battles Stateside - defeating Paulie Malignaggi and Marcos Maidana - as he bids to make a mark across the Atlantic, but he could be on course to fight exclusively in Britain during 2011 if he can agree terms with Bradley.

"Bradley did say he would love to come to England and fight me - what a great fight that would be for the English fans. I want to do it before Ramadan starts (September 10), so I can fight have the whole of Ramadan off and then fight again at the end of the year.

"It depends on the contract with the Bradley-Alexander contract; Alexander did mention he's got a rematch clause, so we'll see what the score is and take it from there."
