David Haye has been tipped to become one of boxing's all-time greats by Muhammad Ali's former trainer.

Angelo Dundee has been offering his advice to Haye ahead of his unification showdown with Wladimir Klitschko on July 2, and he has drawn similarities between the Brit and the great champion.

Haye has been working at the Fifth Street Gym in Miami where Dundee trained 15 world champions, including Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard and George Foreman.

"I saw him when he was training in the Fifth Street Gym and he looked as though he belonged there right away," Dundee told BBC Radio 5Live's Sportsweek programme. "It was the first time I had seen him personally and I have been very impressed with the guy.

"He feels at home in the Fifth Street Gym. That's important. You need to blend in, David has done that just like Muhammad Ali did when he first came to that gym."

Dundee believes Haye will knock out Klitschko, and in doing so will secure his legacy as one of the great heavyweight champions.

"David Haye, after he knocks out Wladimir Klitschko, will be in the top 15 all-time heavyweight boxers. He can really fight and he knows what he is doing," Dundee said.

"Every era has a different great fighter. David Haye belongs to this era. I respect him as a heck of a fighter and I'm looking forward to seeing the fight and him knocking out Klitschko."
