Lewis Hamilton admitted he was not happy with his qualifying performance at the Brazilian Grand Prix after taking fourth on the grid for tomorrow's race.

Hamilton was positive following Friday practice at Interlagos, but was nearly 0.2s off the pace of his McLaren team-mate Jenson Button on Saturday and 0.562s off Sebastian Vettel on pole.

"I'm a little bit disappointing really," he told BBC Sport. "We're still on the second row but of course we would have loved to have been quicker. My performance, I'm really not too happy with that because it wasn't quick enough. I was a couple of tenths off Jenson so clearly I could have been a bit quicker, but the Red Bulls were just massively quick today."

Hamilton said he enjoys racing at Interlagos despite a slightly lacklustre record at the circuit.

"It definitely is a place where you are inspired, because this is Senna's home and the Brazilians are so passionate over here," he added. "I've been fourth quite a few times here, I think in 2008 I qualified fourth here and maybe last year I was on fourth again. Four is a good number for me and let's hope I can turn that into something positive tomorrow."
