Schumacher set-up for wet race

Michael Schumacher revealed that he had set his car up for a wet race ahead of qualifying for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

In a dry qualifying session, Schumacher could only secure 13th place on the grid as he dropped out in Q2. Ahead of the final race of his career, Schumacher admitted he had been disappointed by the pace shown in FP3 so decided to switch his main focus to Sunday with a rain-affected grand prix expected.

"[Today] was not very exciting, quite honestly," Schumacher said. "Yesterday looked pretty reasonable, today we didn't look that strong in comparison to what we were able to do yesterday. Obviously I was focusing a little bit more towards tomorrow, on top of this I didn't get the tyres spot on for their use so as a combination we ended up where we did. But nevertheless I don't think we had a great potential for qualifying, we do have a probably reasonable car for tomorrow."

Schumacher also said that he was not concerned about how he may feel at the end of his final race, but more about the result he could achieve.

"It's not important climbing out the car tomorrow at the end of the race, it's important what position I might do so. Obviously the better it is the more exciting it will be, from where I come I feel a little bit offset, so it's going to be some excitement, particularly in the conditions we are going to face tomorrow. I very much look forward to this because that offers lots more opportunities."
