AC Milan could make loan move for Tevez

AC Milan would only consider taking out-of-favour Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez on loan in January.

City are prepared to listen to any offers for the Argentina international following his well-publicised disagreement with the hierarchy at the Etihad Stadium, a dispute that began after he appeared to refuse to come on as a substitute in the club's second Champions League game of the season against Bayern Munich.

However, clubs have so far been unwilling to declare any desire to sign Tevez - with both Juventus and Inter Milan recently denying any interest in the often troublesome player.

Fellow Serie A side AC Milan could be interested in the 27-year-old on a temporary basis, however, as they seek a short-term replacement for Antonio Cassano - who is currently recovering from heart surgery.

The San Siro outfit may then consider making the deal permanent in the summer.

"Tevez? Let's see. There is time," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said. "Whoever arrives in January will be on loan with the right to buy.

"If it wasn't for the problem with Cassano, we would have stuck with what we had, but we only want to sign players on loan in the January transfer window."
