Milan need Tevez - Boateng

AC Milan midfiedler Kevin Prince Boateng has added his voice to calls for the Italian club to sign rebel Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
The Rossoneri are set to sign a forward in the January transfer window with Antonio Cassano ruled out for the season following heart surgery.
Milan legend Alessandro Costacurta believes Tevez is the right man to plug the gap at San Siro and Boateng agrees that his club "need" the Argentina international.
Catania's Maxi Lopez has also been linked with a switch to Milan, but Boateng is in no doubt who he would prefer to play alongside.
"Maxi is playing well, but we need someone like Carlitos," Boateng told Corriere dello Sport. "It would be excessive to sign both of them...
"Cassano is a champion and we miss him. You just have to look at what he achieved in the first four months of the season.
"Robinho and Alexandre Pato are as good as him, but Antonio has different characteristics so he can offer something different to the side."
Earlier this week, Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed that any big-name signings made in January would only be on loan and this could prove a stumbling block to any Tevez deal.
"Whoever comes to Milan in January will be on loan for free, with an option to make that stay permanent," Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Tevez? We will see, there's time. Probably if we had not had Cassano's situation, we would remain as we are."
City would prefer to rid themselves of the striker for good and are unlikely to agree a loan without demanding a sizeable fee, with Italian media suggesting Milan would have to pay upward of £5 million to secure a temporary deal.
