Andy Murray not panicking

Andy Murray admits he needs more time to adjust to the grass after his Wimbledon preparations hit a setback as he crashed out of the AEGON Championships with defeat to Nicolas Mahut.

Murray, the defending champion at Queen's, appeared to struggle with his movement on the surface as he bowed out with a 3-6 6-7(4) 7-6(1) defeat on Wednesday.

While Murray insisted there was no need to panic, he admitted he needed more match time ahead of Wimbledon, which begins on June 25.

When asked what the defeat meant for his Wimbledon preparations, Murray joked: "Panic stations. I've just got no chance to be ready for Wimbledon now. It's going to be impossible, I think."

He added: "It happens often. I mean, [Novak] Djokovic isn't playing the next two weeks, so, I mean, there is no need for me to panic. You know, I lost the match 7-6 in the third in the first round of the tournament. You know, it takes a bit of time to adjust to the grass courts."

Murray admitted it was unlikely that he would accept a wildcard to play at Eastbourne next week, insisting he was not concerned about his form.

"I'll discuss with the guys over the next couple of days as to what I'm going to do, whether I play one or two of the exhibition matches next week.," Murray said. "Unlikely I would play a tournament, but I'll probably try and get a couple more matches."
