UFC president Dana White will move quickly to get Conor McGregor in front of a free-to-air American audience, revealing he will likely place him on the UFC Boston card, set for August 17.

McGregor lived up to all the hype on UFC debut, scoring a TKO stoppage over Marcus Brimage after 67 seconds to land the Knockout of the Night cheque.

His performance was electric, landing straight rights, front kicks to the chin of Brimage and a series of uppercuts to end the contest, and president White could not have been more impressed.

"I'm blown away. First of all, it's his first fight ever in the UFC; he walked out tonight and got in the Octagon like it was his 100th fight in the UFC," White said.

"From the minute the bell started, he was nice and relaxed and moved around, and even after he gets the knockout, it's like he's been here before and done it 100 times.

"Kid was totally relaxed, he's a beast, I'm impressed."

McGregor already has a huge Irish following, which is set to grow further after White confirmed his plan to take the 24-year-old to Boston, America's most Irish city.

"The answer is yes, you're going to ask if I'm going to put McGregor on that card," White said.

The Boston event is a UFC on Fox booking, which guarantees a larger viewing audience due to the lack of pay-per-view fees. Should McGregor's bout be aired, he will be available to over 90 million homes.
