Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will not play again in 2010 after having his season cut short by a knee injury.

The world No. 13 has pulled out of next months's Davis Cup final against Serbia after a reoccurrence of the knee injury that forced him to miss the US Open.

Tsonga was out of action for three months in the summer after tearing his left kneecap but still held an outside chance of qualifying for the ATP World Tour finals in London at the end of November.

However, the Frenchman, who was scheduled to play at the Valencia Open in Spain this week, will not play again this season after suffering a reoccurrence of the same injury at the Open Sud de France last week.

"My tendon snapped once again in Montpellier," Tsonga said. "I will need to have six weeks of complete rest. I could have played by taking loads of anti-inflammatories, but the risk is getting injured for six months.

"It's the hardest moment of my career along with pulling out of the Olympic Games in 2008."
