Sauber will have further updates for its C32 at next weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.

Like many of the teams, Sauber had an upgrade for the Spanish Grand Prix last weekend, but ultimately failed to score a point in Barcelona. However, head of track engineering Tom McCullough says there are further additions to that upgrade that the team will bring to Monaco in the hope of improving its one-lap pace.

"We have some further updated aero parts to add to the package we took to Barcelona," McCullough said. "Coming off the back of our better race pace in Barcelona, our aim is to qualify stronger, as this is particularly important in Monaco where overtaking is so difficult."

Nico Hulkenberg added that he is confident the super-soft and soft compound tyres will help Sauber get more out of the car.

"In terms of performance, I'm quite positive," Hulkenberg said. "We've seen that the softer tyre compounds suit us quite well, which gives me confidence we'll have a good weekend."
