Mark Webber said Red Bull should be embarrassed after another KERS problem left him tenth on the grid for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Webber has a long history of KERS issues and this year had it fail on him during the first half of the Australian Grand Prix. In other races this year he has had problems out of his control, most recently in Germany where a wheel was not attached properly.

"KERS, gearbox, you name it [it went wrong]," he said. "We didn't have KERS and the upshifts were downgraded and very slow - together it's a lot of lap time that we left in the garage. We were driving the car around so far off the potential it's unbelievable.

"It's massively frustrating, we look stupid and it's embarrassing. It's a brutal circuit to be out of position on. We should be challenging for the front row, which was possible, and we're bloody tenth. It's a pain in the arse. It's amazing all the effort we go to and then you have two weekends on the bounce where you have that."

Webber said the issue had to be sorted overnight for him to stand a chance in the race.

"The first thing is to get the car operating on the limit. It's a long race to have without everything functioning correctly. KERS was 50% of it but there were other things. We managed to tick every bloody box in qualifying to make it hard. We've got to get that sorted for tomorrow, but as usual it's going to be hard to get the result that we could have potentially got."
