Red Bull 'in another category' - Button
- Race:
- Singapore Grand Prix
Jenson Button described the Red Bulls as being in "another category" after Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber dominated the second practice session for the Singapore Grand Prix.
Vettel was 0.6s clear of Webber and a whole second faster than the nearest none-Red Bull driver, Mercedes' Nico Rosberg. Button said it was like the Red Bull was in a another category above the rest of the F1 field.
"The Red Bull is unbelievably quick," he said. "It's in another category. I also think Lewis [Hamilton] is very quick, he's just no showing his hand. I know how he works. He showed his pace in FP1 and we know what he can do."
However, Button thinks McLaren is closer to the other front runners than it has been in other races.
"Surprisingly we are closer to Lotus and the Ferraris that we thought, on the longer runs and also on the one-lap pace. I just hope we can keep improving."
