Felipe Massa drove the 2009 Ferrari at the weekend for the first time since his life-threatening injuries at the Hungaroring. He was demonstrating the F60 at the team's end of season celebrations - the Ferrari World Finals - in Valencia.

Due to testing restrictions Massa was forced to drive a two year old Ferrari during his initial comeback test last month. But after leaping from the cockpit of the 2009 model on Sunday he likened the quick demonstration to winning a grand prix.

"It was fantastic and I am so happy," said Massa. "Although I could drive just a little, I really enjoyed being here. I am very motivated - this today for me is like victory. It was just like before the accident at the Hungaroring."

The event also marked Fernando Alonso's first public appearance as a Ferrari driver. Although he didn't drive and wasn't in Ferrari uniform, he posed for photos and was welcomed by Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo.

"For me Felipe and Fernando are the best driver couple in Formula One," said di Montezemolo. "I am convinced that they both will be very motivated and will want to win. I am not worried about having two Latin drivers, which may be for the first time in our history.

"They both know very well that first of all they are racing for Ferrari and not for themselves."
