Edoardo Mortara wrote his name in the record books by becoming the first man to win the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix twice, securing victory in Sunday's race after his win last year. Laurens Vanthoor came second with Valtteri Bottas in third.

Mortara, 23, inevitably faced questions about his F1 aspirations, but he said he was concentrating on securing a drive in 2011 in any competitive category. "I'm not a person who dreams, I am someone pretty realistic," he told Autosport. "[Winning] didn't bring me anything the first time so I don't think it is going to bring me something by winning it a second time."

By his own admission, what will hold him back is his lack of major sponsors. "It is [frustrating]. But I have learned to live with it. Life is like this, and life is unfair. But in life, there are things that are much, much worse than my case."

He is likely to move to DTM next season, again a switch largely forced on him for financial reasons. "I know a lot of people want to go to DTM. F1 is becoming so much more difficult to get in because of the money, so everybody is trying to find alternatives. And DTM is getting as difficult as F1 to get into."
