Adrian Sutil has agreed a new deal with Force India but a contract is not yet signed, according to the German's manager.
Sutil has been linked with a move elsewhere for 2011, while others drivers - including Nick Heidfeld and Nico Hulkenberg - are rumoured to be in talks with Force India. But Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmerman insists that a "fundamental agreement" covering 2011 is already in place.
"Once a contract is signed, we will announce it," Zimmerman told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport. "This should happen within the next two to three weeks."
Sutil's 2010 team-mate Tonio Liuzzi has a signed contract for 2011 and is confident of staying with the team, while test driver Paul di Resta is also eyeing a race seat. It is now rumoured that Hulkenberg's best chance of staying in F1 is as a test driver for Mercedes.
