Felipe Massa's annual charity kart race, the International Challenge of the Stars, is set to feature Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Nelson Piquet Jnr among other big names from the world of motorsport.

The race, which was established in 2005, is held at the Brazilian seaside town of Florianopolis and regularly attracts F1 stars to compete. Barrichello, Schumacher and Massa have all won the competitive race in the past.

It will be the second kart race in as many weekends for Schumacher and Piquet. The pair took part in a competition in Las Vegas on November 22, where the German beat the Brazilian to seventh but neither were in contention for the top spot.

For Massa, it will be his first return to competitive racing since his serious accident in Hungary, which ruled him out of the rest of the Formula One season. Also competing at this year's event will be Force India's Vitantonio Liuzzi, ex-Williams driver Antonio Pizzonia, IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan and former F1 driver Christian Fittipaldi.
